David Neerman is a composer and vibraphone player. His artistic process is characterized by diversity of his approches (Russia, Mali, jazz, electro). Lansiné Kouyate is the son of the phenomenal griot,  Siramori Diabaté. Balafon player, the artist has already shown alongside Salif Keita, Baaba Maal or Omar Sosa.

The kangaba is a musical instrument of Mandingo origin, region of western Africa situated between Mali and Guinea. It gives its name to this album where there is a balafon, two vibraphones (acoustic and electric), a bass an electric guitar and a drum kit.

    Fantastic way to encounter new music, really appreciated. Merci beacoup David et Lansiné! The drumpattern however doesn't make all that much sense to me on your preview Djanfa: to the contrary, it seems to keep the music enclosed within a static framework that holds the music back, to my mind. Minor setback for an otherwise lovely piece of music!
